The commission, which meets in Columbus Wednesday morning, also is expected to get an update on construction and opening plans for the Hollywood Casino Columbus.

The $400 million gaming palace is scheduled to open Oct. 8, drawing 3 million visitors a year.

Voter-approved casinos have already opened in Cleveland and Toledo. Another is scheduled to open in Cincinnati next spring.
