The Los Angeles Lakers are now listed at 3/1 odds to win the 2013 NBA Championship following the acquisition of Orlando Magic player Dwight Howard.

The MGM Mirage moved the line all the way to -150, making the Lakers co-favorites with the Miami Heat immediately following this trade news.

At Belmont.com, the line had moved from 10-1 to 6-1 to the current 3-1

Howard was part of a four team, 11 player, five draft picks discussion that finally landed the NBA’s best center in LA.

"It was just a very tough situation for everybody to let go," Howard said. "I'm finally glad that it's over with. Myself and the Magic organization, we can all start over and begin a new career. Today is a fresh new start for all of us."

But forget the impact Howard’s trade is currently having on the Lakers odds.  The move resulted in Orlando’s odds going into the triple digits at 100-1.
