Tiger Woods odds to win the 2012 PGA Championship were coming in at 9/1 early on at Bookmaker.eu, which was offering up to US$500 in FREE BETS to qualified new customers here

“(Tiger) Woods is a ‘safe’ bet, especially at these types of payout odds,” noted Don Shapiro, Head Sports Writer for the Gambling911.com website.

That said, there is a reason why Woods odds are so much longer in this event than in recent Majors where he has shown vast improvement.  He has a dismal record of just one win in 24 on courses designed by Pete Dye.

Kiawah Island at 7676 yards will be one of the longest and windiest in recent history at a Major.

“Kiawah is a big ball park. Hopefully we get different wind directions.

“The forecast is for rain early on but I would prefer if it was hard, fast and windy as the golf course is designed for that.”

“Pete always makes you challenge an angle. If you’re able to carry the ball on the right angle the course becomes so much easier.”

Luke Donald and Rory McIlroy each had the next shortest odds after Woods but was more than double the price at 20/1
