Online sportsbooks have started posting odds on which of the nine 2012 World Series of Poker (WSOP) Main Event final table members will win the tournament--and the odds are as predictable as the winner of an eating contest between Annette Obrestad and Kate Moss.

With no big names in the final field--someone who could be seen as coming from behind to defeat higher-stacked but less-experienced foes--the odds on the Final Nine (no longer the November Nine because the final table will play out in October this year) directly correlate to how many chips a player has.

The player with the most chips going into final table play has the shortest odds to win the event.

The player with the second-most chips has the second-shortest odds, and so on.

And, of course, the player with the fewest (ninth-most) chips has the longest (or ninth-shortest) odds to win the 2012 WSOP Main Event.

No one can accuse bookmakers of creative thinking when it comes to setting betting lines, but then again, their bottom line is their bottom line.

Here, as set by one major online sportsbook, are the wagering odds on this year's October Nine, along with the number of chips the player has going in to final table play:

Jesse Sylvia--43,875,000 chips--3/1 odds

Andras Koroknai--29,375,000--9/2

Greg Merson--28,725,000--5/1

Russell Thomas--24,800,000--6/1

Michael Esposito--16,260,000--9/1

Steven Gee--16,860,000--9/1

Jake Balsiger--13,115,000--10/1

Robert Salaburu--15,155,000--10/1

Jeremy Ausmus--9,805,000--11/1
