2012 Olympics Prop Bets: UFO Sightings, Spice Girls Wardrobe Malfunction and More

There were plenty of 2012 Olympics prop bets worth noting offered primarily by the European bookmakers.  Sadly these were lacking at most of the North American facing online betting sites.  Those in North America can find a host of 2012 Olympics betting odds at Bookmaker.eu, which has been serving sports bettors since 1985.

One of the better 2012 Olympics prop bets has to do with UFO sightings during the opening day ceremony.

Sure a few loons will claim to see a flying saucer that turns out to be nothing more than a low flying airplane or blimp, so in order to cover themselves, oddsmakers are requiring that confirmation of extraterrestrial life must come from either US President Barack Obama or British Prime Minister David Cameron.  So in other words, should Angela Merkel happen to see strange lights in the sky, the bet will not be honored.  Odds were 1000/1.  No word on whether anyone has placed these bets as of yet.

More likely at 10/1 is the possibility of a Spice Girls wardrobe malfunction.  The 90’s pop sensation is reuniting to perform at the opening ceremony.

Other Olympics prop bets included whether a transit strike will stop London Underground train service at 10/1, if a British athlete will be photographed eating a McDonald's Big Mac and whether the London Mayor, Boris Johnson, sets his bushy hair ablaze with the Olympic torch.

There were also odds on whether the Olympic flame will go out while it's being carried by the last person at 10/1.
