There’s reality star Brody Jenner and MySpace founder Tom Anderson (a bit of irony there being that MySpace was essentially the predecessor to Facebook).  Several key executives from online poker sites in operation prior to last year’s “Black Friday” are also involved.  “Black Friday” occurred April 15, 2011 when the US Government indicted close to a dozen executives from three “real money” online poker rooms catering to US players.  They were each charged with money laundering and bank fraud.

RocketFrog is billing their new platform as the most complete free-to-play online casino on Facebook where you play poker, blackjack and slot tournaments to win real prizes under one roof.

“One of the biggest stories in tech and gaming this year will be the coming collision of real online gambling and social-networking casino games,” media spokesman Matt Clark told Gambling911.com

The RocketFrog will run poker (Texas Hold ‘Em), blackjack, and slots tournaments everyday with small fields (30-100 players) and lightning fast levels (2-5 minutes).

A different advertiser each day will guarantee players a variety of prizes ranging from movie tickets, music, food and more.

RocketFrog also offers real-time stand-alone games such as no-limit poker, blackjack, slots, roulette and deuces and joker, deuces wild and jacks or better video poker games.

RocketFrog’s centralized game environment allows players to challenge friends, keep track of their bank roll, share achievements, earn loyalty rewards, compare game stats and rankings with friends.

“We’ve created social tournaments where players can interact and compete to win real prizes against their friends; not just leaderboard points or status increases,” said RocketFrog co-founder and chief executive officer Brett Calapp.   “There’s no better place to do that than Facebook because that’s where your friends are at online. Who doesn’t like beating their friends and winning a prize?”

Headquartered in Los Angeles, RocketFrog was founded in 2010.  The company plans to regularly release new games, along with mobile apps, with the aim to build the largest free-to-play social casino on the web. To learn more about the company and its newest games visit www.rocket-frog.com.
