Fast-growing online poker site Americas Cardroom is hitting poker players with two pieces of major news—one big, one small. Americas Cardroom's 4-max tables are available at low, mid, and high-stakes cash tables. 4-max tables, in which a maximum of four seats are open to players at a single table, have been popular among players looking for fast action and more played hands.
4-Max tables had been popularized by competing poker site Everleaf Poker, but with their departure from the US market last month, American players looking to play at 4-max tables have been left without an alternative. Today's announcement by Americas Cardroom fills that void.
It's not just Americas Cardroom's new 4-max tables that will continue to attract players to the tables. This weekend, the online poker site is doubling the guarantees in two of its big tournaments. On Saturday, March 10th at 9pm ET, the prize pool of the $7.5k Guaranteed No Limit Hold'em tournament has been pumped up to $15k. On Sunday, March 11th, the $15k Guarantee at 8pm ET will see its prize pool double up to $30k.
While the guaranteed prize pools have doubled, the buy-ins for the tournaments remain untouched. Saturday's now-$15k features a buy-in of $50+5 and Sunday's now-$30k Guaranteed features a buy-in of $125+12. Satellites into Sunday's $30k start from as low as $1+0.10.
