William Hill Eyes US Entry

William Hill on Friday announced its expansion plans, and they include the lucrative US market.

"Nevada is a land-based opportunity and we will see what happens in the US thereafter. But we first of all have to get these licenses and we expect that to happen some time this year," Hill CEO Ralph Topping said.

A recent change of position by the US Justice Department has loosened restrictions on Internet poker and online casinos.

William Hill is also looking towards France, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands and Spain for potential expansion opportunities.
