Kentucky Attorney General Jack Conway wants no part in a case involving Governor Stephen Beshear's attempts to have 141 online gambling domain names removed.  On Friday, it surfaced that the Attorney General asked to have his name removed from the Interactive Media Entertainment & Gaming Association's court filings in this matter.

On Friday it was first reported by Gambling911.com that a forfeiture hearing to have 141 online gambling domain names turned over to the Kentucky commonwealth has effectively been cancelled by the Kentucky Court of Appeals until further notice.

Governor Beshear had filed the complaint using outside legal counsel, primarily a Chicago-based law firm.  Effected operators claimed that the matter was not properly brought through the Kentucky legislative process.

From the beginning it was common knowledge that this action was brought without the involvement of Attorney General Jack Conway.

iMEGA.org has been granted a hearing before the Kentucky Court of Appeals to argue its Petition for a Writ of Mandamus.

The Interactive Media Entertainment & Gaming Association represents a few dozen of the 141 businesses affected by this matter.
