With live tournament cashes across multiple countries and continents including two EPT runner-up finishes, Kevin ‘Civell’ Vandersmissen has already amassed $863,633 in live winnings and over $550,000 online, placing the young 23 year old pro from Belgium at 3rd on the Belgium All Time Money List. Kevin has always been an avid gamer, so poker was a natural transition for him after finding motivation watching the film Casino Royale. Starting with freerolls Kevin (better known as ‘Civell’ online) started to learn basic strategy and then built upon that, eventually depositing $25 and he has never looked back.
Kevin’s first major win was in December 2010 at the Full Tilt Poker Series Grand Final held in Barcelona where he took down 1st for just under a $200,000. With sizable cashes in-between, his career flourished, and earlier this year Civell struck again, this time in Austria taking 2nd place at the EPT Snowfest Event in Hinterglemm for $369,601.
