Raiders, Broncos Odds to Win AFC West Division Promise Huge Payouts
Don’t look now but either the Raiders or the Broncos are destined to win the AFC West in 2011 with odds that had Oakland at 11/1 back in November and the Broncos at 12/1 back in the November. Up until just two weeks ago, Bookmaker.eu, which has been paying out future bets since 1985, had the Broncos with odds at nearly 8/1. These odds will be slashed come Tuesday but for those who wagered on either of these two teams early on, the payout potential could prove enormous.
The Raiders won their game in Oakland late Sunday afternoon against the Bears, who were without starting quarterback Jay Cutler.
Sebastian Janikowski kicked a team-record six field goals and the Oakland Raiders took advantage of three interceptions from Chicago's fill-in starter Caleb Hanie to beat the Bears 25-20 Sunday.
Denver stunned a Chargers team that is all but out of the AFC West Playoffs race. Tim Tebow took the Broncos into overtime to win 16-13 in the final minutes.
The Broncos are down one game behind Oakland in the race to win the AFC West 2011.
