The Bengals vs. Jaguars betting odds were at even at some online sportsbooks.  A handful of the books were offering the line at -1.5 in favor of Jacksonville.  It is interesting to note that nearly 85 percent of those betting the spread were backing the 2-2 Bengals here.  Jacksonville comes into this one with a 1-3 record.

The Bengals are a bit of a surprise so far this season with their 2-2 record not necessarily reflective of the teams impressive performance thus far.

“All four of the Bengals’ games this season have been decided by 10 points or less after a 23-20 come-from-behind win over previously undefeated Buffalo, so it’s encouraging that this Cincinnati team is staying in games, win or lose,” notes Stan Simmons of BetOnline.com.

“Jacksonville has to establish the run with Jones-Drew, because if they get behind it is a lot to ask of Gabbert to lead the team back. Not having Benson would also be a problem for the Bengals, because they would have to lean on Dalton and he can be prone to interceptions. Defense will likely be the story of this game, but Dalton has a few more weapons that he is familiar with, so take the Bengals on the road in your book.”
