Vikings-Chiefs Line

The Vikings-Chiefs line had Kansas City as a -3 point home underdog.  Considering they only lost once at home last season in a meaningless final week game against Oakland, this spread might seem like a bit of a stretch.  The betting public likes it though.  They are all over Minnesota on the spread, backing them at a 90 percent clip.

As a 3-point home favorite in 2007, the Chiefs managed to beat Minnesota by that number.

The Vikings are 4-9 Against The Spread in their last 13 road games.

The Vikings are 1-7 ATS in their last 8 games after allowing less than 90 yards rushing in their previous game.

The Chiefs are 1-7 ATS in their last 8 games after allowing more than 350 total yards in their previous game.  They are, however,  6-1 ATS in their last 7 games after allowing more than 250 yards passing in their previous game.

The Chiefs are 4-10 ATS in their last 14 home games vs. a team with a losing road record.

Despite the 0-3 records, it should be pointed out that the two teams have each played relatively difficult schedules though that hasn’t stopped Steph MacKenzie of DonBest.com from calling these two teams “Horrible”.

The biggest difficulty here will be for Kansas City to stop the run.

The Chiefs continue to give up plenty of points and Minnesota should be able to take full advantage.

Gamblers might want to consider the first half bet for Minnesota, since they seem to play well early on before self-destructing.
