Nebraska-Wisconsin Line

The Nebraska-Wisconsin line opened at -8 in favor of the Badgers and has since been floating around between -9 and -10 depending on the sportsbook.

The number may appear to be out of whack, but close to 60 percent of those betting the spread were backing the Badgers here.

Nebraska is ranked number 8.  Wisconsin is ranked number 7.  Both teams are 4-0 coming into this game.

The Sagarin Ratings suggest a massive overlay of more than 4 points.

The Cornhuskers are not a 10.5 underdog due to injuries but rather because of their past performances.  While coming into this game undefeated and winning each of their four games by at least three touchdowns, the defense has looked vulnerable.

EPSN.com noted that the Cornhuskers' first-ever Big Ten game contains major implications for the BCS title picture, the league championship race and possibly even the Heisman Trophy between quarterbacks Russell Wilson and Taylor Martinez. The Badgers have outscored their first four opponents 194-34 but faced suspect competition.

The Cornhuskers are 5-0 Against The Spread in their last 5 games as an underdog.

The Cornhuskers are 6-2 ATS in their last 8 road games.

The Badgers are 6-0 ATS in their last 6 games after scoring more than 40 points in their previous game.

Nebraska is 6-0 ATS in their last 6 conference games.

The Badgers are 7-0-1 ATS in their last 8 games as a favorite.

The Badgers are 10-0-1 ATS in their last 11 games overall.

Nebraska is 5-0 ATS vs. a team with a winning record.

The Badgers are 11-1 ATS in their last 12 games following a S.U. win.

J.J. McCarthy Drafted Number 3 Odds to Patriots

To be clear, the Michigan quarterback J.J. McCarthy is pretty certain to land in Minnesota.  But what if the New England Patriots shock us and pick McCarthy at Number 3 before the Vikings get their opportunity at No. 5?
