Full Tilt Poker to Cut 250 Jobs

Full Tilt Poker was expected to cut 250 jobs in its home base of Dublin, Ireland.

The troubled online poker company was shut down by its licensing arm on June 29. On April 15, two of the firm’s founders were indicted for money laundering and bank fraud.

Pocket Kings, the Loughlinstown, Co Dublin, operation that provides marketing and technology back up for Full Tilt Poker’s operations, said yesterday that its departure from the US market meant it had to make savings of €12 million, according to the Irish Times.

A closed hearing was scheduled to take place between FTP and the Alderney Gaming Control Commission this coming Monday September 19 to determine the fate of Full Tilt Poker.
