The South Carolina vs. Georgia spread was coming in at -2.5 with nearly 80 percent backing the Gamecocks.  The line on this game initially opened at 2.5 and has only moved up a half point at some books.

The Gamecocks come into this game having won their opener against East Carolina.

Stephen Garcia, who was benched early on in favor of Connor Shaw, returned to the game throwing 110 yards and a touchdown, rallying South Carolina to a 56-37 victory.

"I don't know if this was my best game as a Gamecock, but we needed this win, for sure," said Garcia, who also rushed for 56 yards and a pair of TDs, earning his starting job back.

"Overall, we've got a long way to go. We're not a very good team right now," Head Coach Steve Spurrier said. "We've got a lot to work on. I think we've got a chance to be a pretty good team, but I think we were fortunate."

The Gamecocks will be tested against Georgia, which lost last week to Boise State.  They also lost a key player, linebacker Alec Ogletree, who underwent surgery on his left foot following Saturday's game.

These two teams have split the series in recent years.  They have also split wins between home and away games.

While the Gamecocks are 5-0 Against The Spread in their last 5 games as a road favorite of 0.5-3.0, they are also 2-6 ATS in their last 8 games following a Straight Up win.

That said, the Bulldogs are 6-13 ATS in their last 19 games following a S.U. loss.  They are 0-5 ATS in their last 5 home games vs. a team with a winning road record.
