The Packers-Saints line was coming in at -4 in favor of Green Bay for Thursday night’s premier game of the 2011 NFL season.  Initially the spread opened as high as -6.

Sports bettors should know that New Orleans beat Green Bay their last two games in 2008 and 2006, respectively, as a -1 point favorite.

Saints are 5-1 Against The Spread in their last 6 games in Week 1 while the Packers are 4-0 ATS in their last 4 games in Week 1.

The Packers are 5-1-1 ATS in their last 7 games as a favorite of 3.5-10.0.

The Saints must win the turnover battle but will have a tough time against a Green Bay Packers team that was 7th last year when it came to forcing turnovers.

The Saints will enter this game with a substandard rush pass whereas the Packers improved a great deal in their pass protection as last season moved forward.
