Florida Gators odds to win the 2012 BCS were set at 15/1.  Their odds to win the 2011 SEC Eastern Division were at 2/1.  Florida had an OVER/UNDER of winning 7.5 regular season games.

New head coach Will Muschamp will have a talented coaching staff (Charlie Weiss is the offensive coordinator) along with playmakers like Chris Rainey.  Florida has great potential and last year’s lackluster performance can be overlooked.

This team has all the makings to be the best in its division and, as such, the 2/1 odds do have solid value.

Florida’s biggest game will likely take place November 12 against South Carolina.  It is the final game of the SEC regular season for Florida.

Alas, the Gators will have a tough schedule besides facing South Carolina.  They will also go up against Alabama, LSU on the road, and Auburn on the road.  Even assuming a loss against each of these four teams, Florida still wins 8 games on the season.

Futures Betting Value Index:

Florida Gators to win the 2012 BCS Championship 15/1 – Fair
Florida Gators to win the 2011 SEC Eastern Division – Very Good

Florida Gators to win OVER 7.5 regular season games -115 – Excellent
