Rick Perry, Texas Governor told the Dallas Morning News that his alma Texas A&M is in discussions with the South East Conference (SEC) to switch to that conference and leave the Big 12.

"I'll be real honest with you. I just read about it the same time as y'all did...As far as I know, conversations are being had," said Perry. "That's frankly all I know. I just refer you to the university and the decision-makers over there."

Texas A&M are said to be unhappy with the recruiting edge the Longhorn Network will provide to the University of Texas.

Rick Perry is also expected to announce his candidacy for President of the United States.  Any such announcement will follow a big prayer meeting to pray for the nation at Reliant Stadium.
