NFL Owners Approve New Labor Deal

The NFL owners voted 31-0 to ratify a proposal to end the current NFL lockout.   Players were expected to vote as early as Thursday night.

Commissioner Roger Goodall made the announcement Thursday evening with training facilities scheduled to open in the coming days.

The Hall of Fame Game will be cancelled unfortunately.

“It is time to get back to football,” said Goodall.

The NFLPA has scheduled an 8 p.m. ET conference call with its executive committee and player reps to decide whether to accept an approved settlement from owners, and how to start the voting process for the 1,900 players who have to decide if they want to vote in a recertified union.
