The MLB All Star Game 2011 line had the National League a -118 favorite and the American League at -102 at Bookmaker

Don Best.com noted that “Ultimately, this matchup could come down to the superior NL pitching (starting and relief) against the AL sluggers. The ‘fearsome five’ NL  starters left of Halladay, Lee, Lincecum, Jair Jurrjens and Clayton Kershaw could very well be good enough for the NL to pull out back-to-back wins.”

The American League will be missing two of its biggest name stars in Alex Rodriguez and Derek Jeter (both out with injuries).  Four pitchers selected by fans will also be out.

While the MLB All Star Game seems to be losing any luster it might have had with both players and fans, sports bettors are still making this an important event for those who run the offshore shops.

Bookmaker, for instance, had the American League getting the most action of any side/individual being bet on Tuesday, that includes all the Copa America games.
