After stunning Brazil, the Womens World Cup odds to win have the USA side favored at 11/10 at William Hill.  (betting on the Womens World Cup was available for US citizens at Bookmaker here)

“The Womens World Cup is helping to invigorate the US audience appetite for soccer,” noted Payton O’Brien, Senior Editor of the Gambling911.com website.  “Web traffic for the USA v. Brazil game was rather significant.”

Not only did the US stun Brazil 5-3, they did it short-handed in what is being called one of the best World Cup games – men or women’s – in recent history.

Abby Wambach tied the game in the 122nd minute, and Hope Solo denied the Brazilians – again.

"There is something special about this group. That energy, that vibe," America’s Solo said. "Even in overtime, you felt something was going to happen."

The United States advances to play France in the semi-finals on Wednesday.

France is the 5/1 underdog while Sweden and Japan were both listed with 3/1 odds to win the Womens World Cup 2011.
