Reports continue to suggest that former New York Knicks coach, Isiah Thomas, was out cold when police arrived at his home after a 911 call reporting an overdose on sleeping pills. Officers found a man passed out on the floor and gave him oxygen until an ambulance arrived.

Authorities have not publicly identified Thomas as the victim, but a person familiar with the case, speaking on condition of anonymity has confirmed to ESPN it was the former NBA star and Knicks coach.

Reports of an ambulance taking a person from Isiah Thomas' home to the hospital after an overdose of sleeping pills still differ widely as to what happened, however.

ESPN.com's Henry Abbott reported that the medication was the prescription drug Lunesta.

Thomas' 20-year-old son, Joshua, a student at Indiana University, told the New York Daily News last week that it was his sister's hypoglycemia, and not his father's overdose, that precipitated the 911 call.

"Reports of sleeping pills are false," Joshua Thomas said, insisting his father was "stressing" over his sister, but made a quick recovery when responders sat him down and gave him water. In another published report, Thomas himself said it was his daughter who was in distress and denied that anything was wrong with him.

.....2008/2009 NBA Odds: Odds to win the 2008/2009 NBA Atlantic Division easily had the Boston Celtics at -300 and there may actually be some value here considering how lopsided this division is. A $300 bet pays $100 at Sportsbook.com (the $300 bet plus $100 payout all being paid if Boston wins the division).

Boston Celtics -300

New Jersey Nets +3000

New York Knicks +2000

Philadelphia 76ers +350

Toronto Raptors +500
