A Pittsburgh casino slot machine that was supposed to have paid only $12 ended up dispersing $24,988 to one lucky casino slots player.

The unidentified Rivers Casino player was ultimately allowed to keep his winning jackpot.

A spokesperson for the casino says that the casino slots machine was not properly tested prior to the May 29 jackpot.

The State Gaming Board was to have issued a fine against the casino, according to reports.  Instead, the Board nixed a consent agreement with the establishment on Monday.
