A handful of US-facing online gambling websites were offering Pacquiao Mayweather fight odds with Floyd Mayweather, Jr. the slight favorite (Sportsbetting.ag being one of them) These odds, however, were only good should the fight go off before year’s end.

With both fighters slated to meet other opponents in the fall, this seems highly unlikely.  Instead, fight fans are already getting ready for what promises to be a super fight between Manny Pacquiao and Mayweather come 2012.

A judge ordered Mayweather to appear in a Nevada court room this week to face his libel action filed by Pacquiao whereby Mayweather accused the Philippines congressman of abusing performance enhancing drugs.

Mayweather has other legal headaches stemming from domestic abuse charges.

Why We Need Pacquiao vs. Mayweather

The odds on both fighters upcoming bouts were as follows:

Floyd Mayweather Jr. vs. Victor Ortiz had the Pretty Boy a pretty pathetic -800 favorite at William Hill

Pacquiao was at -700 or 1/7 vs. Juan Manual Marquez.

The draw pays around 33/1 odds.

Fight fans are losing patience and growing tired of these lopsided affairs.

Bring on Pacquiao-Mayweather!
