Carwin vs. Dos Santos fight odds had Junior Dos Santos at around -173, with the line subject to change as UFC 131 fight time draws closer. Shane Carwin would pay out $140 on a $100 bet with a win. BetDSI.com was offering live in-fight betting on UFC 131.
Carwin ranged anywhere from +130 to +150. Dos Santos was listed between -156 and -180.
Yahoo Sports noted that Dos Santos expects Carwin, a one-time Division II wrestling champion, will try to take him down, but he’s made several public pleas for a standup war.
Both fighters want knockouts in UFC 131.
"Let's face it, both dos Santos and I got to where we're at right now by knocking people out on our feet," Carwin said. "I think we're both explosive fighters and I think the fans are going to...have a real treat at UFC 131 when it gets to that main event, knowing both guys have knockout power in their hands."
