It’s coming:  The smaller, thinner iPhone, and its anticipated introduction is helping to boost the prediction market action on unit sales of between 25 million and 30 million to 99.5 percent at intrade.com.

Could unit sales exceed that number, the value for traders is much higher since only 25 percent believe such an outcome will ultimately take place.

Apple wants to use smaller SIM cards in their fifth-generation iPhone, according to Stephane Richard, France Telecom/Orange CEO.  She explained in an interview with All Things D that the new iPhone would need to be smaller and thinner as a result.

The new iPhone is expected to be introduced in September (2011).
