The man who helped take down Full Tilt Poker, PokerStars and UB.com is bankrupt and stuck in a US witness protection program.

Daniel Tzvetkoff, the 25-year-old Australian wiz kid profiled on Gambling911.com just hours before the April 15, 2011 bust went down, is profiled in even more lurid details on the pages of the Sydney Morning Herald Monday by Cosima Marriner.

It’s yet another riveting piece from the Australian media.  Let’s hope that our discussing it here is not another precursor to more indictments.  Yes, there is another one coming, but it will be in connection with the current case against Full Tilt Poker, PokerStars and UB.com.  We probably won’t read much about it and the case against these online poker companies is essentially closed.  At least that’s what our well-placed sources are telling us.

So what does the Herald piece tell us about Tzvetkoff?

Besides being a snake, rat, “snitch bitch” or whatever other epithet you want to throw his way, Tzvetkoff was also a social butterfly.

A friend tells the Herald what he loved more than anything else:  “"Throwing the cash around, the best things in life. Champagne, parties - he loved parties."

That lavish life style is now over but at least he won’t be living in a jail cell for the remainder of his life.

The friend told the Herald:  "He was a kid caught up in the money," his former friend says. "He's slightly delusional. He doesn't accept he's done anything wrong. He just thinks he can get away with it. He just puts on a smirk and a smile and doesn't think about the consequences it has on other people."

Other friends claim his emotional maturity was like that of a child.

Another interesting fact about Tzvetkoff, he actually produced animated cartoons for the New York Times website at one point in his early career.  He also threw lavish parties that featured none other than the likes of Snoop Dogg and Chris Brown.
