In a conversation Wednesday night, Joe Sebok disclosed to players on the UB.com website that he anticipated UB.com to release a statement regarding their future plans following an indictment handed down last week.

Sebok confirmed that UB.com were in discussions with their US-based attorneys all day Wednesday.  A decision had not been made to go ahead with an arrangement by the US Attorney’s Office out of the Southern District of New York whereby UB.com would get its domain back on conditions it no longer serve the US market.  UB.com would also be permitted to release funds to players.

UB.com is rumored to be contemplating the decision to leave the US market long term.  Sebok confirmed that the company did make a decision Wednesday morning to notify US players they would no longer be permitted to play in real cash games.  Nevertheless, software still allowed for this as of Wednesday evening.

“I do trust the company though and they will take care of players,” Sebok insisted.
