The Miami Heat are 8-2 in their last 10 games despite all the negative off-the-court press surrounding Lebron James mom, Gloria, and her now infamous slap of a valet parker at the famed Fountainbleau Hotel in Miami beach.

Against The Spread, the Heat have gone 5-5, which is about the same record as pre-slap the 10 prior games.  Miami’s odds to win the 2011 NBA Championship were sitting at +250 (pays $25 for every $10 bet)

The Gloria James incident is not likely to go away any time soon.

TMZ obtained a copy of the lawsuit Rockfeller Sorel filed Tuesday in Miami-Dade County whereby he is seeking $15,000 due to a loss of "capacity for enjoyment of life" (whatever that is).

Reality check:  Sorel is now the most famous valet parker in all of Miami Beach, if not the rest of the US.

And as we near the NBA post season, let’s take a look at some odds to win the 2011 NBA Championship found at SBG Global:
