The Knicks-Heat line was coming in at +9.5 with New York the mighty dog at Diamond Sports.

As DonBest.com points out, these two teams are dramatically different from this time last year and seem to keep improving.

Amare Stoudemire and Carmelo Anthony have really taken the Knicks to a whole other level while Lebron James impact on the Miami Heat has been dramatic.

From our friends at Don Best:

New York was riding a three-game SU winning streak until Friday’s unexpected loss to lowly Cleveland as eight-point road ‘chalk,’ 115-109.  The combined 224 points eclipsed the 221-point closing total, helping the ‘over’ cash the second consecutive contest.  The Knicks have now failed to cover their past two performances.

Miami improved to 4-1 SU its last five games after dispatching Washington Friday as a 15 ½-point home favorite, 121-113.  The combined 234 points soared past the 203 ½-point closing total, helping the ‘over’ improve to 5-3 the past eight outings.  The Heat are now just 1-3 ATS their last four matchups.

The home team in this series has only won 3 of the last 10, though Miami has won 7 of the last 8, 4 of which covered the current spread.  They lost their last matchup against New York.

The Knicks are 6-1-1 ATS in their last 8 games following a S.U. loss.

The Heat are 2-8 ATS in their last 10 vs. NBA Atlantic.
