At long last, the truth behind Ken "The Shrink" Weitzner's suicide will finally be told.

Jerry Donahue, Weitzner's stepson, has revealed to Gambling911.com exclusively that he is currently in the process of writing a tell-all book about his controversial late stepfather.

Donahue also revealed that he has been working on the project since last summer, and implied that he has interest in the book from a publisher.

After it was reported last week that Weitzner's Virginia mansion had been sold for nearly $1 million, Donahue was asked for more information about the sale, as he was half-owner of the property.

He was also asked for an interview, in anticipation of the upcoming one-year anniversary of "The Shrink's" death.

Donahue declined both requests, saying in an e-mail to Gambling911.com: "I have been working on a book for 7 or 8 months now. The story is just crazy and there is interest. Especially in a story that doesn't hold back. The good times and bad."

Donahue concluded the e-mail by saying: "There are a lot of things I could share, but now is not the time."

Weitzner was 54 years old when he and his wife, Jackie, killed themselves last April in their sprawling Chesapeake, Virginia mansion, using a combination of pills and toxic grill fumes inside a sealed-off room.

Jackie was Donahue's mother.

Ken was one of the most famous--some would say infamous--names in the online gambling industry.

Although he never operated his own online betting operation, the failed medical student ran two of the Internet's earliest sports betting portals--websites that had ads for and links to offshore and online sportbooks--The Prescription (www.therx.com) and later Eye on Gambling (www.eog.com).

"The Shrink" made--and lost--millions of dollars, earning it from books who advertised on his sites and squandering it on gambling losses.

Rumors abound that he was nearly broke at the end and that led him and his wife to commit double-suicide.

Now we may finally learn the truth.
