What The DoylesRoom.com Move to Yahatay Means for Poker Players

The move by DoylesRoom.com to the Yahatay Poker Network has been well thought out for the better part of a year, though initial plans were scrapped after Doyles decided to work more closely with the Cake Poker Network (its previous home).  DoylesRoom.com was announced as Cake’s new “premium poker room”, but that didn’t last for long.

DoylesRoom management voiced concerns that their company’s growth could no longer be sustained through operating on an external network.  DoylesRoom also wished to improve its profit margin.

While Yahatay in the short term will likely have fewer players, the network provides DoylesRoom.com with the independence – not to mention stability - it has sought for the past few years now.  For Doyles, this is the third change of networks in just under four years.

Yahatay, for its part, has been working to improve features and performance over the past year in anticipation of hosting the Doyle Brunson endorsed poker room.

Until now, the marquee poker room on the Yahatay Network has been True Poker.  That card room’s CEO regularly participates in discussions on the Two Plus Two poker forum.  Much of Yahatay’s network, and indeed True Poker, has relied on business from supporting sportsbooks.

True Poker’s CEO was among the first to announce DoylesRoom.com joining the Yahatay family.

“If you want soft games, you should note the Network player pool will include mostly sportsbook-based players,” he said.  “Poker players can do very well there.”

DoylesRoom.com, as one of Internet poker’s most notable brand names, will likely increase the network player base.
