Top 25 matchups highlight busy Saturday in NCAAB

March Madness is on the horizon and College Basketball action on Saturday features four matchups with Top 25 teams going head-to-head.

The Big East conference, which boasts seven ranked teams, is in the spotlight to kick things off with two games involving top teams, starting with the No. 19 Louisville Cardinals facing the No. 5 Connecticut Huskies at the Harry A. Gampel Pavilion (12 pm ET, ESPN3).

UConn (17-2 SU, 5-2 Big East) and Louisville (16-4 SU, 5-2 Big East) are both just 1.5-games back of the conference-leading No. 2 Pittsburgh Panthers.

In their last game Wednesday, the Cardinals got a basket from point guard Peyton Siva with 4.5 seconds remaining to get a 55-54 victory over the West Virginia Mountaineers. And on Tuesday, Huskies freshman Jeremy Lamb had a career-best 24 points to pace a 76-68 win over the Marquette Golden Eagles.

The other Top 25 Big East game has the No. 20 Georgetown Hoyas visiting the No. 7 Villanova Wildcats (12 pm ET, ESPN).

Villanova (17-3 SU, 5-2 Big East) is right with Louisville and Connecticut, 1.5 games back of Pitt, but has stumbled in the past two weeks, dropping two of its past three. Georgetown (15-5 SU, 4-4 Big East) has won three straight.

In the Big Ten conference, the No. 18 Minnesota Gophers visit the No. 12 Purdue Boilermakers (1 pm ET, CBS).

Purdue (17-4 SU, 6-2 Big Ten) is second, two games behind the No. 1 Ohio State Buckeyes, while Minnesota (16-4 SU, 5-3 Big Ten) is three games back.

Big 12 conference play on Saturday has the No. 13 Missouri Tigers at the 8th-ranked Texas Longhorns (9 pm ET, ESPNU).

Texas (17-3 SU, 5-0 Big 12) leads the conference and Missouri (17-3 SU, 3-2 Big 12) is two games back.
