In an interview with one of the local Lexington, Kentucky news affiliates, Kentucky Governor referred to online gambling operators as "a little bit shady".

Governor Steve Steve Beshear attempted to seize up to 141 online gambling site domain names in recent weeks, calling the businesses "leeches". Beshear has indicated that he wishes to protect his own state economy, in particular the horse racing sector.

But Joe Brennan, Jr., founder of the Interactive Media Entertainment & Gaming Association, barked out during a Monday press conference that the only thing "shady" about this case is the idea that the Governor decided to use outside counsel and sneaky ways in which to bring this matter before a judge.

The Poker Players Alliance, which supported Beshear's pro gambling stance when he was elected to Governor last year, has vowed to block any attempts he may try to legalize land based casinos in the commonwealth.

Media in attendance at Monday's forum included: Gambling911.com, Louisville's CBS and NBC affiliates, Lexington's ABC affiliate and the Associated Press.

The hearing is slated to begin at 9:30 am Tuesday in Frankfort, Kentucky.
