The Vikings-Eagles Sunday Night Football game spread was listed at Philadelphia -14 to -15 depending on the online sportsbook, however, this game was now postponed to Tuesday night at 8 pm EST on NBC and the line was off the board.  This was the longest line of any NFL game this weekend.  Spread action on this game was around 60/40 in favor of the Eagles.  Action on the total was relatively balanced.  The OVER/UNDER was 40.  The line opened in double digits even before it was known that a blizzard might hit the Philadelphia area.

Minnesota is far removed from any Playoffs contention.  The Eagles, on the other hand, are looking to win the NFC East Sunday night.  A victory will guarantee this.  A loss by the Giants will do the same.

Philadelphia won in an improbable fashion last week after DeSean Jackson scored on a 65-yard punt return with no time remaining. It was the first game-ending punt return in league history.

"That man is one of the most incredible athletes I've ever seen in my life," Eagles cornerback Asante Samuel said of Jackson. "Hell of a player. A lot of heart."

The Vikings will likely start Joe Webb in place of the injured Brett Favre even with the delayed game.

Let’s review some important betting trends coming into this game below:

Philadelphia has won its last two games against Minnesota over the past four seasons, but not by more than the current spread of 14 points.

The Vikings are 8-17 Against The Spread in their last 25 road games vs. a team with a winning home record.  They are also 0-7 ATS vs. a team with a winning record.  The Eagles are 6-2 ATS in their last 8 home games vs. a team with a losing road record.

The Vikings are 2-6 ATS in their last 8 games following a SU loss of more than 14 points.

The Vikings are 2-7 ATS in their last 9 games overall.

Minnesota is 1-5 ATS in their last 6 games on grass.

The Vikings are 1-6 ATS in their last 7 vs. NFC.

The Vikings are 0-8 ATS in their last 8 games as an underdog.

Vikings are 0-5 ATS in their last 5 games as a road underdog.

The Eagles are 23-9 ATS in their last 32 games after allowing more than 30 points in their previous game.

Philadelphia is 9-4 ATS in their last 13 games after allowing more than 250 yards passing in their previous game.

While the Vikings are essentially in uncharted territory as a double digit underdog, the trends suggest Philadelphia does have a tremendous edge coming into this game.

Weather should not be a factor Tuesday night.
