The Kansas City Chiefs vs. Houston Texans spread of -4 ½ (favoring Houston) has so far attracted even betting action.  Half the online sportsbooks were offering the line at -4, the other +4 ½ (for Chiefs backers).

The Chiefs became the last undefeated team to lose a game and come into this one at 3-1.  The Texans come into this game at 3-2.

Kansas City was held to fewer than 10 points for the second time since the start of last season.

"We're a team trying to transition into becoming a good team. We're not there," Kansas City coach Todd Haley said. "If we had won this game, I'd be saying the same thing. Good is much bigger than four games. Good is measured a little differently, but we are transitioning and we are making progress."

Meanwhile, the Texans last week were beaten badly by a resurgent New York Giants team.  Typically incorporating an explosive offense, Houston only had 74 total yards at halftime.

Some trends to look at coming into this game for sports bettors include:

Houston last played Kansas City at home in 2007 and beat them by 17 points.

The Texans are 4-0 Against The Spread in their last 4 games following a ATS loss and Texans are 9-3 ATS in their last 12 games following a S.U. loss while the Chiefs are 3-8 ATS in their last 11 games following a ATS loss..

The Chiefs are 5-1 ATS in their last 6 games as an underdog.  They are 6-2 ATS in their last 8 road games vs. a team with a winning home record.

The Texans are 8-1 ATS in their last 9 games after scoring less than 15 points in their previous game.

They are, however, just 4-10-1 ATS in their last 15 games in October. – Tyrone Black reporting for Gambling911.com.
