Chargers vs. Rams Odds

The Chargers vs. Rams odds were listed at -8 in favor of the underperforming San Diego Chargers.  The away favorites were getting close to 65 percent of the betting action in this game.

Oddly enough both teams come into this one at 2-3.  Prior to this past week, St. Louis had won two good games in consecutively.

The Chargers slow start is nothing new.  This is the 4th consecutive year that San Diego has started 2-3.  The difference is that this year’s last undefeated team was division rival, the Kansas City Chiefs, while Oakland upset the Chargers last week.  The Denver Broncos are no slouches either.

The Chargers are 5-1 Against The Spread as a 7.5 to 10 point road favorite since 1992.  But in road game where the total is between 42.5 and 45 points, the Chargers are only 1-7.

In 2006, the last time these two teams played one another, the Chargers destroyed St. Louis in San Diego by a score of 36-24.  We would note that San Diego had a similar line at home then as what they have on the road today.

The Chargers are 6-0 ATS in their last 6 games following an ATS loss while the Rams are 5-1 ATS after an Against The Spread loss.

The Chargers vs. Rams odds are trending upwards from -7 where the line initially opened to -9 (at some online sportsbooks). – Ean Lamb reporting for Gambling911.com.
