After losing a second straight Stanley Cup, everyone is weighing in with an opinion for how to fix the Edmonton Oilers.
They need better defense. They need a better goalie. They need to trade Connor McDavid.
Ok, no one is saying that last part, but could the best player in the league look to take his talents elsewhere if he's lost faith in the Oilers' ownership to put together a championship roster?
Or could Edmonton look to trade its other superstar, Leon Draisaitl, to obtain assets and add more depth to the roster?
There's chatter, so SportsBetting.ag has created "next team" odds for both McDavid and Draisaitl. There are odds for each of the 31 other teams in the NHL.
The Boston Bruins come in as the 4/1 favorites followed closely by the San Jose Sharks at 5/1 to land Draisitl.
It's doubtful either will be traded entering next season.
Draisaitl lands historic $112M extension with Oilers ahead of this most recent season.
"For me, it was always the Oilers," Draisaitl said at the time. "Obviously we haven't gotten the job done yet, which makes it to me even more special. We're going to do this together. We're all pulling on the same rope here. I'm excited to be a part of it and excited to keep chipping away at the ultimate goal, and we all know what that is."
