The two biggest individual stories in the NFL through four weeks are arguably the play and success of Jayden Daniels and Sam Darnold.

Daniels, without elite offensive weapons or an above average offensive line, has shown poise rarely seen in an NFL rookie and quite frankly shows more poise than most veterans. Going on the road to Cincinnati and Arizona and winning back-to-back games is impressive for any quarterback.

Now imagine doing that in your third and fourth career games while scoring 80 points and only punting once as an offense.

He never seems rushed, he is extremely accurate (82.1 completion percentage), he has seven combined touchdowns to only one turnover and is third in QB rating in the league.

Switching to Sam Darnold, the Vikings who were a distant fourth (17/2, +850) in odds at BetOnline.ag to win the NFC North, are now 4-0 with Sam Darnold at the helm.

Sam “Frickin” Darnold. This is his fourth NFL team. The numbers haven’t been pretty.

He has been given ample opportunity to be the guy with the Jets and Panthers and failed continually in those circumstances.

He was brought into Minnesota as a stopgap to keep the seat warm for J.J. McCarthy. Unfortunately, the Michigan rookie had right knee meniscus surgery and is out for the year.

Darnold is only leading the NFL in passing touchdowns and QB rating. Accuracy has been a consistent problem throughout his career and he’s at 68.9 completion percentage currently.

From an odds perspective at BetOnline, it’s pretty cool to see how the odds have progressed for Daniels and Darnold.
