Twitter (X) InfoGraph Lists the Cowboys and Bills as the Most Overrated NFL Teams

The graphic below is based on X data in the past month (30 days) tracking "Overrated" tweets and hashtags for each NFL team as compiled by BetOnline.

For example, "The Cowboys are overrated" or "The Cowboys are the most overrated," "The Cowboys offense is overrated," "The Cowboys defense is overrated," or any Cowboys tweets with the hashtags #Overrated. Over 170,000 tweets were tracked.

No surprise that the Cowboys are yet again the most "Overrated" team (although previous data and projects show that they are no longer the most disliked - a title that now belongs to the Chiefs). Sky high expectations every year for the Dallas team, paired with underwhelming results, early playoff exits, and a massive fan base, mean the Cowboys will be at the top of the list or close to it, every season until they win a Super Bowl or at least get to an NFC Championship game.

It is a bit odd to see teams like the Lions rank so high, as well as the Bears, who have just now shown signs of being contenders (the jury is still out on the Bears, which could mean they truly are "overrated" in the real definition of the word).
