Friday night's Nationals-Cardinals game will resume at 2:15 pm ET Saturday, however, the common MLB "12 hour rule" may result in some books not counting your bet.  That's because this game was stopped prior to 2:15 am ET Saturday morning.

Unibet advised Gambling911.com that as long as the game resumes within 72 hours, the wager will count.

Many sportsbooks feature the "12-hour rule" when it comes to games stopping and resuming within a certain time frame: "A bet is declared void on a cancelled or postponed game which has not started, or in the case of a result not having been issued within 12 hours of the scheduled start time."

Our Thomas Somach noted that other books negate the bet and return your wager while still others count the wager if the game resumes within 36 hours.

The confusion was widespread across the Twittersphere.

Matt Forster inquired with William Hill:

"@WillHillHelp hi, just checking will the tampa bay rays and St Louis cardinals baseball games be voided as they have both been postponed or will the money line bets still stand for when they resume later today. Thanks."

He was advised that the bet is still good if played within 24 hours, although that information came from an individual not associated with William Hill.

There was also some confusion over parlays that featured this game.

GOATLuka (Fire Kidd) tweeted out:

"@BovadaOfficial I should be given credit for the 1st leg of this parlay cashing the void bet from the suspended Nationals Cardinals game should either be a push or resume when the suspended game resumes at 2:15 ET tommorrow, it is unfair to rule the entire parlay void."

Lockedin_18 tweeted in regard to another game stoppage:

"Unfortunately the rays game got postponed, and the rays got removed from my parlay."

That game was not set to resume on Saturday.

Plenty more disruptions were on tap for Saturday.  Gambling911.com will be monitoring the following games for possible weather delays and suspensions/postponements: Giants-Pirates, Brewers-Reds, Marlins-Orioles and Dodgers-Mets games for weather issues.   Scattered storms could force delays with this afternoon's Padres-Phillies game as well.  This one goes off in the early afternoon.
