The payout odds if Jack Della Maddalena were to go on and beat the favorite Belal Muhammad in UFC 315 would be $158 for every $100 bet, but with more lucrative payouts for the Method of Victory prop wagers.

Maddalena is an Australian professional mixed martial artist who currently competes in the Welterweight division of the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC). As of 25 March 2025, he ranks No. 5 in the UFC welterweight rankings with 17 wins in 19 appearances, twelve of those by Knock Out.

Maddalena has much respect for his opponent.

"I think he does tend to be underrated," Della Maddalena said of Muhammad, the current UFC Welterweight Champion. "I don't know if it's like a trendy thing to sort of just say that he sucks, but yeah, he's underrated. He's got a good résumé together. He's beaten some really top fighters and he's a champion, so you shouldn't tell him he sucks too much. But I guess that's what the people think.

"I respect what he's done, of course. I've said it a few times — like 'GSP' (Georges St-Pierre) at the time, I feel like he wasn't respected hugely. A lot of people thought he was boring. Obviously, he started racking up wins, but some of his later wins were a bit tighter, and people said he's boring, and this and that. But yeah, you can't disrespect the résumé that he (Muhammad) has and the workload that he has."

Belal Muhammad is an American professional mixed martial artist who has 24 wins in 28 bouts, only five of those by Knock Out.

Muhammad took the UFC 170-pound title from Leon Edwards via unanimous decision at UFC 304 last summer.  He knew pretty early on that fight he'd emerge the winner.

“I felt it with Leon right after the second round,” Muhammad said. “I saw it and I felt it. Even in the third round when he had my back, I could feel that he was just holding on for dear life, just trying to make it out of the round. But there wasn't that fire in him anymore. I knew then that the fire was out. So in the fourth round, when I grabbed him, I just pulled him down super easy. Then it was like, all right, I knew you were done.”
