Derrick Lewis proved he was too much too soon for Tallison Teixeira and extended his record for the most knockout wins in UFC history.

Lewis finished Teixeira in a mere 35 seconds Saturday night in the main event of a UFC Fight Night in Nashville.

More importantlly perhaps, the payout was $250 for every $100 bet

The 40-year-old earned his 16th UFC knockout and was competing in his 13th UFC main event, while Teixeira, 25, was participating in just his ninth professional mixed martial arts bout, though with an 8-0 undefeated record, most of those wins by knockout.

"They been talking s--- all week," Lewis said.

"I can't speak much Portuguese, but I knew they was talking s--- about me. I just knew he'd been fighting tomato cans his whole career."

Notably, Lewis has quietly worked his way back into heavyweight title contention following a 0-3 skid from 2022 to 2023.
