Eugenio Suarez Next Team Odds

The Chicago Cubs are among the "primary teams" in the hunt for Eugenio Suarez, and the payout would be sweet at $1000 for every $100 bet.

USA TODAY'S Bob Nightengale reported July 24 that the Mariners and New York Yankees were the most aggressive in pursuing Suarez.

Those two teams have the shortest odds to land Suarez (2-1 for the Yankees and 3-1 for the Mariners).

In April, Suarez became the 19th player in MLB history to hit four home runs in one game, in an 8-7 loss in 10 innings to the Atlanta Braves.

Dylan Cease Next Team Odds

The New York Yankees will pay out $600 for every $100 bet should they go on to land Dylan Cease. Their rotation is currently in shambles.

From John Griffin of SB Nation:

Although the Padres are right in the thick of it of both the NL West and Wild Card races, San Diego has shown in recent years that they are always willing to make a deal — especially with players whose contracts are expiring at the end of the season. And with Cease, Michael King, Luis Arraez, and Robert Suarez all set to hit free agency at the end of the season, it’s hard to believe that baseball operations head A.J. Preller won’t try to get something back for one of them. Cease looks to be the sweet spot between an expendable piece (he has been their fourth-best starter this year at best, although the rotation has dealt with injuries) and ability to demand quality in return (he was the runner-up to Justin Verlander for the 2022 AL Cy Young and finished fourth in last year’s NL Cy Young).

Steven Kwan Next Team Odds

Cleveland didn't appear too desperate to shop Steven Kwan as of last week. But the Guardians have been rocked by allegations that at least two players - one of whom is Emmanuel Clase - violated league gambling policy

ESPN’s Jeff Passan provided an update on the current Kwan situation during an appearance with ESPN Cleveland.

“If Steven Kwan goes, they are going to get an enormous package back. As one GM put it to me yesterday, they have set a price; if it’s met, they will move him, if it’s not, they won’t, but it is a high price.”

Tommy Wild of SI.com

The Guardians don’t need to be shopping Kwan to a team. He’s still under team control for the next two and a half seasons.

However, listening to offers and being persistent with what they want in return guarantees that Cleveland will get the best return for Kwan. And if the Guardians don’t end up trading him, they can revisit those discussions in the offseason or a year from now at the 2026 deadline.
