MLB Betting Analysis - June 22, 2025
Gambling911.com looks at potential value in MLB betting lines and totals based on a number of factors for June 22, 2025.
June 22 Games Outlook
Cleveland Guardians vs. Athletics
We were seeing approximately 65% of the action on Cleveland as a -116 road favorite. The number had been as high as -140. The recreational books we follow were taking this number way down as well.
PITCHING PROBABLES: Guardians: Slade Cecconi (2-3, 4.15 ERA, 1.35 WHIP, 34 strikeouts); Athletics: JP Sears (5-6, 5.45 ERA, 1.30 WHIP, 58 strikeouts)
Slade Cecconi allowed two runs with six strikeouts over five innings in a win against the Giants on Tuesday.
Sears allowed five runs with no strikeouts over 3 1/3 innings in a loss against the Astros on Tuesday. Prior to that, he fanned nine while allowing two runs over 5 1/3 innings in a no-decision against the Angels.
These Guardians have faced Sears 40 times with six RBIs.
The Athletics are 9-7 in their last 16 games overall. Cleveland, however, is 8-2 against them.
We do see the Athletics winning here with a line of +105.
June 21 Games Outlook
Mets vs. Phillies
The total on this game opened at 9 and has quickly jumped to 10 with greater than 80% of folks still on the Over.
PITCHING PROBABLES: Mets: Griffin Canning (6-3, 3.80 ERA, 1.40 WHIP, 63 strikeouts); Phillies: Mick Abel (2-0, 2.21 ERA, 1.03 WHIP, 17 strikeouts)
The line moved from -130 Phillies down to -107 but action is balanced.
White Sox vs. Blue Jays
The total dropped from 8.5 to 8 with greater than 65% of the action on the Over and recreational books we follow trending towards the 8.
Half of the last ten in this series have resulted in 8 or fewer runs.
PITCHING PROBABLES: White Sox: Aaron Civale (1-3, 4.67 ERA, 1.48 WHIP, 23 strikeouts); Blue Jays: Jose Berrios (2-3, 3.81 ERA, 1.29 WHIP, 76 strikeouts)
Civale pitched well in a losing effort in his White Sox debut on Sunday, giving up two runs on six hits over five innings of work.
Berrios allowed six runs in 4 2/3 innings and took the loss against the Phillies on Sunday. He shut out the Cardinals for 6 2/3 innings in a no-decision previous to that start.
In 73 at bats against Berrios, these White Sox have 7 RBIs and three home runs, mainly distributed among three players, two of whom have current ERAs of under .100.
We like the Under 8.5 here, still available at Bovada.

June 19 Games Outlook
Phillies vs. Marlins
The Phillies line has dropped from -183 to -138 but so too has the total, from 8 to 7.5. What's significant about the latter is that the action is lopsided on the Over.
PITCHING PROBABLES: Phillies: Cristopher Sanchez (5-2, 2.94 ERA, 1.23 WHIP, 88 strikeouts); Marlins: Edward Cabrera (2-2, 4.10 ERA, 1.46 WHIP, 58 strikeouts)
Sanchez allowed two runs with five strikeouts over seven innings in a no-decision against the Blue Jays on Saturday. He had a loss prior to that start, though Sanchez only permitted two runs on six hits in seven innings against the Pirates.
In 72 at bats, the Phillies only have two home runs against Cabrera. They have seven RBIs, four of those came courtesy of Kyle Schwarber, who is just .143 against him I(2 for 14 at bats).
Cabrera allowed three runs — one earned — over four innings in a loss to the Rays on Friday.
Only two of the last ten in this series has stayed Under 8 but we believe all else points to an Under 8 (still available at Bovada) here.
June 18 Games Outlook
Phillies vs. Marlins
Do we dare go against the Phillies again?
We haven't had much luck doing so.
The moneyline dropped from -190 to -161 with heavy lopsided action on Philadelphia pretty much everywhere. Even at some of the recreational books we follow, the number had dropped to -170.
The Marlins are 6-2 in their last eight games overall and just beat Philadelphia on Tuesday.
Ranger Suárez only allowed four hits and one walk en route to shutting the Blue Jays out over seven innings with six strikeouts in an 8-0 win on Friday. He's only allowed 8 hits on 35 at bats versus these Marlins.
Marlins recalled RHP Adam Mazur from Triple-A Jacksonville.
We will be on the Marlins +146 this day.
June 17 Games Outlook
Twins vs. Reds
Cincinnati came in as the -115 favorite but this one dropped from -130. Recreational books were still sitting on the -130. If they moved also, we'd probably be all over the Twins here.
The Reds were seeing better than 75% of the action.
PITCHING PROBABLES: Twins: David Festa (1-1, 4.76 ERA, 1.32 WHIP, 25 strikeouts); Reds: Andrew Abbott (6-1, 1.87 ERA, 0.97 WHIP, 64 strikeouts)
June 16 Games Outlook
Phillies vs. Marlins
Lopsided action on the Phillies but the line has dropped from -125 to -110.
PITCHING PROBABLES: Phillies: Mick Abel (1-0, 2.35 ERA, 1.11 WHIP, 14 strikeouts); Marlins: Sandy Alcantara (3-7, 7.14 ERA, 1.49 WHIP, 50 strikeouts)
Abel surrendered three runs, all of them on solo homers, over four innings Tuesday against the Cubs.
Prior to that, Abel held the Blue Jays to one run over 5 1/3 innings in his second big-league start.
Marlins manager Clayton McCullough said Sandy Alcantara’s command has improved thanks to a focus on “being glove-side with his work and being intentional there.”
Alcantara shut out the Pirates for six innings, striking out six, in the Marlins’ 3-2 victory Tuesday.
He has faced these Phillies on 219 occasions, allowing just four home runs. J.T.Realmuto had two of those.
