We are heading into the final month of the MLB regular season, and the major award races are officially taking shape. Find the latest odds here
In the American League, Yordan Alvarez has the MVP on lockdown as he chases the AL Triple Crown, currently sitting tied for the home run lead. Over in the National League, the MVP race has been flipped on its head: Pete Crow-Armstrong has been on an absolute tear, blasting five home runs over the last two days to build a commanding lead over Shohei Ohtani.
The pitching side offers a contrast in drama. The AL Cy Young is a neck-and-neck, two-horse race between Cam Schlittler and Dylan Cease. Meanwhile, Jacob Misiorowski has an absolute stranglehold on the NL Cy Young.
Finally, the rookie classes are delivering plenty of late-season excitement. Kevin McGonigle has been stellar all year, leading the charge for AL Rookie of the Year. In the NL, a combination of JJ Wetherholt’s recent injury and Sal Stewart’s prodigious power numbers have given the Reds’ mustachioed stud the inside track to take home the hardware.
