The Lions vs. Patriots line has moved from -3 to -3.5 favoring New England. This one did open at -2.5.  We get a number of Pats 5.59, indicating an underlay of between 2 and 2.5.

These teams come into this game with 1-3 records Straight Up but Detroit is 3-1 Against The Spread and New England 1-2-1 ATS.  Assuming a win by New England, we would expect the Patriots to tighten this ATS record to 2-2-1.  The underlay is a result of Patriots quarterback Mac Jones being injured.

Prior to last week, the two teams that had lines move between the 3 (above and below) have seen the favorite cover, but the injury could impact this one.

Rookie Bailey Zappe did play well last week in his NFL debut, carrying the Pats to a seven-point lead with just over 11 minutes left to play.  Jones is doubtful for Sunday's game.
