Why Bet Nyquist to Win This Year’s Kentucky Derby?

Nyquist is the favorite to win the 2016 Kentucky Derby and with good reason.

He has won all seven of his starts including six that were graded either 1 or 2.

Why he will win:

Jonathan Lintner of the Courier-Journal writes:

It’s all this colt knows how to do. Nyquist has walked to the winner’s circle after going wire to wire, stalking and, in the case of the Breeders’ Cup Juvenile, running wide and from off the pace. He’s 7-for-7, the deserving favorite in this field and a fresh horse having raced just twice this year.

Oddly enough a number of pundits have passed on Nyquist, whose odds were shortening from 3-1 closing in on 2-1 throughout the day Friday.

His pedigree is suspect and his post position less than ideal.

More objectionable to racing experts is the fact that Nyquist is hoping to become the first horse to win a Kentucky Derby since Bold Forbes (1976) as a sprinter.
