Georgia does not have race tracks and is not exactly accommodating to any of the big name apps. Horse betting sites accessible from the state include BetUS, which has actually been taking bets from Georgia residents 18 and up for 30 years now.

Sierra Leone has finished first in three of four races and second in the only race he has not won (the Remsen).

Trainer Chad Brown is 0 for 7 in the Derby, with his best finish coming in 2018, when Good Magic finished in second place.

Made in Japan

Japanese bred Forever Young has been sensational, winning all of his races. Four of those were stake races.

He broke from an unfavorable outside post and lost ground the entire way in the UAE Derby (G2) at Meydan on March 30 , but still pulled off the win.

The problem is no UAE Derby winner has gone on to be victorious in the Kentucky Derby.

Who Needs Churchill Downs?

Kentucky Derby watch parties are scheduled across the Peach Tree State Saturday.

In Atlanta, Avalon is hosting a Kentucky Derby party from 4 to 8 p.m. on May 4 at The Plaza. It's free to attend. Seating is first come, first served. Citizens Market ATL on Peachtree Road NE is hosting a Kentucky Derby watch party starting at 2 p.m. There will be a big screen, several best dressed contests. The City of Duluth is hosting a Kentucky Derby viewing party from 2:30 to 7:30 p.m. on the Town Green. And don't forget to check out the Georgian Terrace Kentucky Derby viewing party.

Savannah's Olde Pink House on East St Julian Street between Abercorn Street and Drayton Street will be hosting a Kentucky Derby watch party. Top Dawg Tavern at 2821 Washington Road in Augusta, GA is where to watch the race from that region.
